Brian Wilson confirms headline slot at Edinburgh Summer Sessions

The famous frontman and brainchild behind classic records such as Pet Sounds and Smile joins fellow former bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin on the bill at the Ross Bandstand in West Princes Street Gardens for the hotly-anticipated music festival which run from 6-19 August.
Other acts to be announced on the already jam-packed roster are Bastille, The Vaccines, The Ark, Grace Carter and The LaFontaines.

Hide AdThey join a line-up which already includes Sir Tom Jones, Rag’N’Bone Man, Paloma Faith and Kasabian.
Geoff Ellis, chief executive of organisers DF Concerts, said: “We’re delighted to be bringing Summer Sessions to Edinburgh and DF Concerts’ return to Edinburgh’s live music circuit this summer is a great addition to the list of incredible events taking place across Scotland this year.
“The Edinburgh Summer Sessions line-up certainly has a diverse variety on offer with legends Brian Wilson and Sir Tom Jones sitting alongside acclaimed acts like Bastille, Rag’N’Bone Man, Paloma Faith and major festival headliners, Kasabian, placing the series of shows right at the heart of Edinburgh during the festival season.”
Edinburgh Summer Sessions will be the first gigs DF Concerts have put on at the Ross Bandstand for a decade.
