A study from Social Investment Scotland (SIS) also shows that 82 per cent of “third sector” organisations expect turnover to grow in the year ahead, with 66 per cent experiencing a rise over the past 12 months.
Its survey of 47 social enterprises and community bodies found they employed 1,211 full-time staff, up 33 per cent on last year, and that figure is predicted to grow to 1,334 next year.
