Guidance on enhanced hygiene measures and safety for hairdressers will be published later this week, according to Ms Sturgeon, ahead of when they are free to resume business.
The announcement comes as the first minister said further restrictions can be lifted from Friday, July 10 as the country enters phase three, and the two metre rule can be relaxed in some sectors.
She reminded people that face coverings are mandatory from tomorrow and police action will be taken against those who do not comply.
