Interbulk boss sees pay surge
THE total pay package for Koert van Wissen – the chief executive of East Kilbride-based Interbulk, the logistics firm in which engineering tycoon Jim McColl holds a stake – rose by some 20 per cent last year, according to the company’s annual report.
Van Wissen took home £357,384 in salary, fees, benefits, bonuses and pension contributions in the year to 30 September, up from £299,043 in the previous 12 months, yesterday’s report showed.
Interbulk’s operating profits rose by 3 per cent to £15.5 million on the back of a 10 per cent increase in turnover to £300m.

Hide AdPre-tax profits soared by 204 per cent to £5.3m after the firm used a £17.4m cash-injected from Chinese peer Sinotrans to pay off half of an expensive “mezzanine” debt that is held with Bank of Scotland.
