Coronavirus in Scotland: 34 cases confirmed as ward closed at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary
The ward was closed to new admissions and visitors as 26 positive cases were announced yesterday.
A further eight cases have been detected, bringing the total to 34.

Hide AdThey were all associated with ward 109. The outbreak is understood to include both patients and staff connected to the 30-bed ward.
NHS Grampian said care was being given to patients on the ward “as normal”, and added that an Incident Management Team has been set up to investigate the outbreak.
They said: “Following 34 detected cases of Covid-19 associated with Ward 109 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, the ward has been closed to new admissions and visiting.
“An Incident Management Team has been set up to investigate these cases. Care is being provided to patients on the ward as normal.”
It comes after 38 staff and patients tested positive in an outbreak at Cameron hospital in Fife.
