Historic Scotland announced all staffed sites to close
The agency stated that they would be following the government emergency legislation and closing all sites that require staff
The decision to close came on the heels of the government announcement that emergency measures are in place that restrict the movement of the public due to the coronavirus outbreak.
Anybody who has any pre booked tickets for entry or events will receive a full automatic refund within the next 30 days.
Historic Scotland manages around 360 sites across the country including Arbroath Abbey and Dirleton Castle.
