40 caught in roads blitz
NEARLY 40 drivers were caught speeding during a one-day roads crackdown by police while another 54 people were fined for not wearing a seatbelt.
Lothian and Borders Police caught 39 drivers speeding. One motorist was reported for dangerous driving and another for careless driving.
A further 50 drivers, three adult front seat passengers and one child rear seat passenger were caught failing to wear their seatbelt during the clampdown on Wednesday.
