Carter taken ill during a flight
FORMER US president Jimmy Carter developed an upset stomach on a flight to Cleveland, Ohio yesterday and was taken to hospital for observation.
Jackie Mayo, a spokeswoman at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, says the 85-year-old was taken from the plane to MetroHealth Hospital.
Carter's grandson, Georgia state Senator Jason Carter, said: "He's definitely resting comfortably and expected to continue his book tour this week."
