City praised for road plan
THE man in charge of overseeing Scotland's roadworks has praised Edinburgh for improving how it handles the works.
John Gooday, the Scottish Roadworks Commissioner, said the city council had made a significant improvement and was now one of the top two performing councils in Scotland.
The city council said the improvement followed the introduction of a new process and plan for the management of roadworks in Edinburgh in June 2010.
