Funeral for car hit victim
THE funeral of a man who died after being hit by a car on Hogmanay will be held tomorrow.
Martin Douglas of Hay Gardens died at the Royal Infirmary shortly after he was struck by the car in the early hours of January 1.
His funeral service will be held at Richmond Church at 11.30am, followed by interment at Piershill Cemetery.
Mr Douglas, 41, had been crossing Union Place when he was hit by the black Toyota. A 25-year-old police officer has been charged in connection with the incident.
