Game review: Street Fighter X Tekken
Capcom has taken the reins with Tekken characters ported into Street Fighter’s 2D fighting system (Namco will do the opposite and go 3D when it releases the proposed Tekken X Street Fighter later in the year).
Some of the special moves and tag team mechanics may be confusing to novices, but the fast combat that Street Fighter encourages means even newbies will have a ton of fun. The graphics are slick, garish and add to the thrilling hyper-realism of these over-exaggerated tussles. It’s also a cheap thrill for gamers to see Ryu facing up to Heihachi or Zangief throwing down with King for the first time.
