Holyrood in a spin for good cause
POLITICIANS were bowled over at Holyrood by the generosity of a charity cricket project aimed at helping victims of last year’s Japanese tsunami. Scottish Conservative MSPs Alex Johnstone and Liz Smith – who has seven international caps for Scotland – were joined at the crease by Consul General of Japan Masataka Tarahara to promote the charity Cricket for Smiles.
It was founded by Alex Miyaji, who is part-Scottish, part-Japanese and who has been promoting cricket in Japan.
