"This year, over 100 blood donors will attend our ceremony having given an amazing 8,175 donations between them.
"This is a great achievement. As each donation can be split into three separate component parts - red cells, platelets and plasma - this means the donors attending our award ceremony will have saved or improved the lives of nearly 25,000 patients in Scotland."
