Letter: Climate choice
The Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) produced a graph, of which millions of copies were published all over the world, and it was quoted by the warmists as positive proof of their climate change.
This graph showed that Eric the Red could not possibly have landed his 12 shiploads of Viking farmers in Greenland in 982AD. The climate was far too cold. Every reputable history book says that he did and the land was farmed. This graph also showed that ice fairs could not possibly have been held on the Thames in the 17th century. Diaries and history books show that they did.

Hide AdOne has a choice. One can either believe the IPCC or the writings of people who were actually there. I, of course, believe the people who were there.

Clark Cross (Letters, 9 December) is so right, and, so far from being regarded as a champion for our nation, First Minister Alex Salmond will go down in history as the man whose self-serving obsession with his anti-nuclear stance and "renewables" risks ruining Scotland's finances and fabric, for no benefit to our people.
