Welfare cuts

The outrageously wicked decision by Chancellor George Osborne to de-couple benefit rate increases from the consumer price index to the retail price index to save a £1 billion truly shows that the Tories have absolutely no morals.

To ask those on disability living allowance who may be blind, amputees or in wheelchairs, to take a cut in their living standards due to reckless speculation by the Tory paymasters in the City is sick in the extreme. It is these same speculators who are raising the price of fuel, making the poor literally choose between heating and eating. It is important that the strike action by three million public sector workers on 30 November is successful to stop the Tory attacks on the welfare state.
