Partner reported to cops over ‘herbal highs’
Lesley Anderson gave officers permission to search Graham Carroll’s BMW X5 and the house they shared in Livingston, West Lothian.
She said that a cash box containing £17,540 found in the car and a further £2225 found in her home “certainly wasn’t mine”.

Hide AdCarroll, 46, of Livingston, West Lothian, denies being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs. The offences are alleged to have been committed between April 16 and August 18, 2010. The prosecution allege he was involved in the distribution of Methylmethcathinone – commonly known as Mephedrone or Meow Meow – which was classed as a “legal high” before the law was changed on April 16, 2010.
Under cross-examination, Miss Anderson denied she had taken up to £60,000 from the cash box before handing it in to police and said she couldn’t remember offering to split the money with a police officer so she could leave the country.
The trial at Livingston Sheriff Court continues.
