Police appeal after doorstep shooting
Brian Harkins, 45, was found at the door of his house in Westmuir Place, Rutherglen, near Glasgow, at around 10:10am on 7 March. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police believe he had been “targeted” and yesterday spoke to drivers, bus passengers and pedestrians in a bid to discover more about the incident.

Hide AdDetective Chief Inspector Kenny Graham said he was “very pleased” with the response and that officers now have “several additional lines of inquiry” .
Strathclyde officers said last week that Mr Harkins was “known to police”. Patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the public.
