The MP for Jarrow warns members of her community to stay at home for seven days if they experience either a high temperature or a new, continuous cough.
She insisted that her office was still open if anyone needed help and urged constituents to contact her staff while she is self-isolating.
“The NHS are urging people to stay at home for 7 days if you have either a high temperature or a new, continuous cough.
She added: “If you are displaying any symptoms yourself, please self isolate and visit http://111.NHS.UK or call 111 for advice.
“To all of my constituents, you can still contact me and my staff by emailing [email protected]
“Thank you, Kate.”
Her diagnosis comes a week after Health Minister Nadine Dorries revealed she had caught it - the first MP in Westminster to test positive.
