A DIEHARD Hibs fan who'd rather be dead than seen in a Hearts strip is to cross the line for a day in aid of charity.

Janette Campbell will be photographed in maroon at Tynecastle in aid of the Homeless World Cup five-a-side football tournament in which her firm is taking part in Glasgow on May 28.

To add to the pain, the picture will be circulated in her company newsletter. She said: "I'm an avid Hibs fan, a season ticket holder and I travel home and away to watch Hibernian play.

"What would be the worst thing anyone could ask me to do . . . be seen in a maroon Hearts top!

"This is a big ordeal for me but I feel just as strongly about the power football has in helping other people help themselves."

Peacocks out to win

IT'S the glam style bash bound to have George Street revellers polishing their Prada shoes and pressing their Paul Smith suits.

Throngs of dapper city men are expected to strut their stuff at Esquire's Best-Dressed Real Man 2011. Hosted at Lulu on Thursday, the search is on to see if Edinburgh is home to the country's ultimate male fashionista.

And in case anyone thinks these men will be dressing up just for show, think again - there's a cool prize of 25,000 for the super-stylish fella who wins best dressed real man of 2011.

Artistic wish Granted

GRANT Stott got his "best birthday present ever" from six-year-old fundraising artist Jack Henderson.

Jack, who has now raised more than 16,000 for the Sick Kids Friends Foundation by selling his drawings, granted Grant's picture wish by sketching him scoring for Hibs in a match against Hearts.

After seeing the drawing on the youngster's Jack Draws Anything website, Grant, 44 this month, Twittered, "That is just brilliant!! I love it. Thanks SO much!!"

Vacating trust

THEY can't multi-task or express their emotions . . . but now there's another black mark against men - not booking that all-important summer holiday.

Research from online flight-finder InvisibleHand says that despite men getting more pleasure from rubberstamping a trip away, seven in ten women still insist on taking charge.
