Man, 37, dies after road collision in Airdrie

A man who died after being in collision with a car while at work has been named by police.

Denis McBride, 37, of Stanmore Road in Glasgow, was working in High Street in Airdrie, North Lanarkshire at 10.35am yesterday when the incident involving a white Peugeot 3008 happened.

He was taken to the town’s Monklands District Hospital where he died.

His family have been informed and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

The Health and Safety Executive has also been informed and is in close liaison with police.
