Video: Boeing plane performs ‘vertical’ take-off
The Vietnam Airplines pilot was demonstrating this feat of physics before an appearance at the Paris Air Show which is set to take place from 15-21 June, displaying to the gathered Parisian crowds.
The footage shows the Dreamliner leave the runway with its nose facing vertically upwards before turning at breakneck speed in manoeuvres described by Boeing as applying “breakthrough technologies to an all-new airplane design”.

Hide AdThe aircraft costs $250 million to produce and can carry 2,000 passengers distances of around 8,000 miles.
Virgin Atlantic are one airline currently flying the 787-9 Dreamliner commercially, with plans for expansion to nine of the aircraft by the end of 2015.
The jaw-dropping aerial feat will be just one of plenty on display at the Paris Air Show, which attracts military clients and civilians alike.
