Blue Bulls put murder charge prop on leave
The 28-year-old appeared in court on Monday after spending the weekend in a Pretoria prison following his arrest on Friday.
He was subsequently released on bail of 8,800 at a city District Court and will appear again on 15 October. Roux was arrested on Friday for allegedly killing 38-year-old Tshwane metro police officer Ntshimane Johannes Mogale, a father of two, who is said to have pulled him over for drunk driving.

Hide AdDetails of the incident remain sketchy, with reports indicating the policeman was found beaten up in the middle of a street in the central business district during the early hours of Friday.
A statement from the union confirmed he has been given leave. It read: "The Blue Bulls Company has decided to grant Bees Roux some leave until further notice and to exempt him from his rugby obligations for the time being."
Blue Bulls executive officer Barend van Graan added: "He has been through some tough times in recent days and we feel it is appropriate to give him some time to recover from this."
