HEARTS are facing an investigation by the football authorities after assistant referee Willie Conquer was hit by a #1 coin and a lighter following Rangers' 94th minute winner at Tynecastle yesterday. These missiles, among a number of objects thrown, were aimed at matchwinner Steven

Naismith, but struck Conquer on the arm, which the official was then seen rubbing in pained fashion.

The incident is expected to be mentioned in the report by Scottish Premier League delegate Willie MacDougall, and will also become a disciplinary matter for the Scottish Football Association.

Meanwhile, Lee McCulloch will receive a scan on a groin that kept him out of Rangers victory yesterday before meeting up with Scotland squad.

The midfielder, who is suspended for Friday's European Championship qualifier away tothe Czech Republic, is now not expected to travel to Prague.

Team-mate Kirk Broadfoot, who also missed the Hearts encounter, will be

assessed by the SFA medical team.
