Hearts await decision on Ryan Stevenson appeal against ban
The Tynecastle midfielder was issued with a notice of complaint by SFA compliance officer Vincent Lunny for a challenge on James McPake during the Edinburgh derby last week.
The matter will be decided by an SFA fast track tribunal on Thursday and, if Hearts fail in their appeal, Stevenson will miss the first game back after the winter break – at Celtic – and the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-final against Inverness on January 26.

Hide AdJohn McGlynn is already missing skipper Marius Zaliukas for the match at Parkhead because of suspension while Darren Barr is banned for the Caley clash.
Meanwhile, Hearts’ fixture against Ross County, which was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch on December 29, has been rescheduled for Saturday, February 2.
County chairman Roy MacGregor has offered to lay on free buses for the Hearts supporters.
Hearts’ league fixture against Motherwell, which was due to be played on Saturday, January 26, has also been moved to Saturday, March 2.
