Stevenson told Hearts website: “Darren Fletcher has been first class. I knew him when I was younger but he was one of the first to come up and make sure I had settled in okay. That’s why he’s captain, I suppose.
“We had a double session which gave me the chance to get to know the boys better and they have all made me feel very welcome. It’s been the highlight of my career so far and to have the chance to play for your country is massive. I am just really looking forward to seeing what’s in store in the next few days.”
