Fraser Fyvie accepts 2-match ban for ‘feigning injury’ in Halliday clash
Fyvie was cited by the SFA’s compliance officer for feigning a blow to the face from Rangers player Andrew Halliday who was red carded by referee Bobby Madden during Monday’s defeat at Ibrox.
The former Aberdeen and Wigan player was charged under disciplinary rule 201 in that he committed an act of simulation which supported an error of judgement by Madden that Halliday had head-butted him on the face or head and caused the referee to make an incorrect decision to dismiss the Rangers player for violent conduct.
Fyvie was offered a two-match ban, to be served immediately, and it was accepted, the SFA revealed today.
Halliday’s appeal against his sending off will be heard next Thursday.
