Jamie Langfield has seizure

ABERDEEN goalkeeper Jamie Langfield was last night recovering in Glasgow's Southern General Hospital after suffering a seizure on Monday morning.

A statement on the club's website said that the 31-year-old was "stable". Chief executive Duncan Fraser added: "Obviously this is an extremely worrying time for Jamie and the thoughts of everyone at the club are with him, Louise and the girls.

"Jamie had a comfortable night and there have been no further setbacks but, until the results of the tests he has undergone are known, we are not in a position to comment further."

Aberdeen manager Craig Brown, speaking to RedTV, said: "It's a major blow to Jamie and his family.

"We wish him a very good and quick recovery. He's a strong lad and a very popular guy in the dressing-room."
