Snooker: Scots head for pot of gold

BONNYRIGG'S Michael Leslie, 17, was in sizzling form as he defeated David Cassidy (Ireland) by four frames to nil to go top of Group F at the 2010 World Under-21 Snooker Championship in Letterkenny, County Donegal, Ireland.

Robert Carlisle, Edinburgh, also maintained his 100 per cent record with a 4-0 victory over Mostafa Gebaly (Egypt) while Rhys Clark (East Kilbride) also remains unbeaten after defeating Simon Lee (Hong Kong) 4-0.

Campbell Dunlop (Kilmarnock) and Ross Higgins (Cumbernauld) also won to keep the five Scots remaining on course for a place in the knock-out stages.
