Welfare earn a canny win

WHITEHILL WELFARE defended resolutely during the initial stages of this Scottish Cup, first round tie at Lossiemouth before breaking the deadlock ten minutes before half-time.

Youngster Danny Taylor fed Scott Gormley whose cross allowed Andrew Kidd to bullet a header into the net.

Gormley had a chance to make it two but the Lossiemouth goalkeeper McConnachie saved well before Kidd fired the rebound over the bar.
